Pumpkin Easel and Exciting News!!!

Have you ever own something in your craft stash that you got it because you know an idea for it will come to you eventually. AND you hold on to it for YEARS spring cleaning after spring cleaning ...then boom! Finally! The idea!

Well that is my pumpkin. It's a blank wooden paintable shape. I believe I purchase it when my girls were 3 and 4 because I was going to let them paint it. We painted ghosts instead...and I just held on to the pumpkin.

And now here comes along this adorable Tilda. Her name is debatable. I believe she may be called Witch Tilda but certainly looks like a Pilgrim to me. Well finally my pumpkin feels the love after 5 years and becomes my template for the easel card.

I cut some oval out and embossed them to create more of a pumkin with texture. Tilda is colored in distress inks.

NOW for my exciting news...besides the new look to my blog. Anyone notice my sidebar??? I was chosen as a Junior Designer for THE PIXIE COTTAGE!!! I am over the top excited. They have a wonderful challenge blog and Michelle the owner of it all, has a great store, featuring many stamp companies and Pixie Cottage digital and rubber stamps. I have a HUGE wishlist!!
I certainly hope you will join me in thier challenges and stop by and take a look at all the goodies. I can't wait to get started!!
Until then, I hope you enjoy my pumpkin...

Let it snow...

Snowflakes are part of the theme over at Truly Scrumptious. This week we have a fabulous sketch to go along with it. Come on over and play with us!!

Over the weekend my friends and I got together for a play date. We stamped, colored and gabbed and we did a little image swapping too. This little cutie was one I came home with. It's from Gillian Roberts and now its in my future cart for purchase. Did I mention that my dear friends are also enablers!!

I colored this little bear in my favorite distress inks and I hope you can tell that I flocked the hat and snow. This card really sparkles and the paper is pearlized. Not sure this one will make it in the mail come Holiday season...

Welcome to Fall, Ha!

There's no Fall in Florida! I'm okay with that. I do miss at times, the change of seasons, I was born and raised the first half of my life in New Jersey. I would have to say that Fall would be the one I miss the most because of the leaves changing. I also loved pulling on a pair of jeans with a comfy sweater. I still get to do that though in what most of the northern states call WINTER! And I love that!

I went back home one winter after being here for about 3 years. I caught the worst flu ever and drove right back to Florida!

I do love the beautiful colors that are Fall and making cards and projects comes easy with these colors.

I colored Mid Summer Tilda in distress inks. She has been colored for a few weeks now and I am sorry that I didn't get her posted sooner. I have alot going on these last few weeks with munchkins birthdays. My girls are growing up too fast! I don't like it!

Enjoy! Tell me what you think, I always enjoy your visits!

Blue and Green Truly Scrumptious Challenge

Come join us at Truly Scrumptious this week! We have a fabulous sketch with the option of Blue and Green, My two FAVORITE colors.

Finally, I was able to acquire Unwrapped Tilda! She is one tough cookie to find in stock. I can see why too, isn't she a cutie?! I have so many more ideas for her too. This time I colored her in Copics and Prisma pencils. I must have colored at least 4 of them before I was satisfied. I 've been coloring with distress inks mostly and changing mediums made my brain go WHOA! For my birthday I was able to add more Copics to my small stash and it's time to start sharing the love.

I really hope you all come by Truly Scrumptious to play. Come see what the rest of the Design Team came up with. I have the pleasure of being on a very talented team!

I hope this counts as Shabby or Vintage. I think so, so I am also entering her in Stampin for the Weekend's challenge too.

As always Thanks for Stopping by,

Spooky Spellcaster

Whew!! Camera is back and boy did I miss it! I was going stir crazy looking at some great challenges pass me by. That's okay though, it gave me some time to finally get organized a bit. I even read a book. It's a Vampire Romance book so that got me in the Spooky mood.

All my favorite holidays are coming up. I think mostly because I love Fall and Winter colors, maybe because Florida doesn't really have Fall and Winter. Who knows!

Spellcaster Tilda is colored in distress inks and my flowers are handmade. Both flowers are made with the scallop circle punch, cool huh?! My friend shared a tutorial she found on the rosettes. It's here and so easy! The sketch is from Papertake Weekly. LOVE it!

Well I'm off to Blog Hop and see your wonderful creations....

Challenges:
Papertake Weekly: Sketch
Everybody Art Challenge: Handmade Flowers
Simon Says Stamp: Holiday Fun
Prairie Fairy: Embossing
