Hugs n Kisses

Hello Everyone! I have a cute little 3d project to share. I found this little frame at Michaels Craft store for $1, and loved the heart shape frame. I'm going to take a cuddly picture of my parents and give it to them as a gift for Valentines.

My parents are just joining the world of technology. For Christmas my sister and I got them a laptop. They have been enjoying games and learning the basics. Let me just say WOW!! What I find second nature they find a mystery, the mouse, clicking links, writing emails... Between yesterday and today I have set them up with instant messaging and a webcam. Thier faces both glowed at the prospects of seeing family from afar more often. I'm excited for them.

Anyway, a couple of details...I handmade the flower with a scallop punch. The DP is Bo Bunny and it's actually one sheet of paper just both sides. When I cut out the middle all I had left was an ugly blue label so I put the paper back to cover it for now. The heart inside makes a great template so that was a bonus for me!

I would love to hear what you think, your comments are always a pleasure to read. Hugs!

Mwah! Love U Lots!

I had to tell myself to put the markers down!! Last night I set myself up to sit and color once again. I then said my friend Tracy would kill me. We have "playdates" and she has seen some of my images all ready to go and many times has told me "What are you waiting for!!"

Well I am having so much fun playing with my Copics lately. I finally got a hang of them, at least I think so. What do you think? I love coloring in Distress Inks too and I have to say that moving from that medium to this one was quite a challenge for me. BUT I love a good challenge! He! He! He!!

Isn't Tilda just adorable blowing hearts! I love this Maggie and spoiler alert, she's coming back in a couple of weeks for my next challenge with Fussy and Fancy. I can't wait til you see her! I made the pink flowers using Tim Holtz' Tattered Florals and the paper is from Bo Bunny.

As always I love to hear from you!

Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday! Today I return to work from sitting at a courthouse for Jury Duty ALL DAY yesterday. I didn't even get picked! My brain was mush by the time I came home, that was major legal overload!

I hope I did this Pixie Cottage Rose justice. We have a great sketch to with our Love theme. You can both or just one part of theme, but most of all have fun and join us.

I NEED Glasses!!

That is my only excuse I have that I goofed on the Truly Scrumptious Challenge this week!! I saw BLACK,Pink and Green and it's really BROWN, Pink and Green. So I hope the design team forgives me for my flub, but here it is!

I was actually very excited about this one. I can't believe it but this is my first Magnolia post for the new year! I have lots colored, my friend Tracy is witness to that from our last playdate but I have to admit I am a slow composer. I figit and fiddle with sketches and ribbon and flowers for hours before I "feel" I have all the elements I want on a card. Somedays it's a blink of an eye and others it not.

Anyway Honey Bee Tilda is sooooo cute. I'm still playing with my Copics, notice any improvements? I would love to hear what you think and tips and hints too! I am also practicing with my stitching. My new sewing machine is AWESOME!!

Hop on over to Truly Scrumptious and see all the right colors for our color challenge from the rest of the design team. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Tuesday Throwdown: Valentine

Do you know how hard it was to create this card and not want a cupcake? or pie or chocolate whatever!!!

Pixie Cottage is keeping it simple with an easy peasy sketch and the optional challenge of coloring. Everybody's favorite pastime! I can't wait to see you come up with. I used the Sweet Shoppe by Artish. It's a great stamp and big enough for all Magnolia lovers like me, to add your favorite Maggie too. Happy New Year! and Truly Scrumptious

Hello Everyone! Happy New Year!

I feel so behind in blogger world! I feel like I have missed so much. I'm still trying to catch up! Let me see if I can now....

First I have some EXCITING news! I made the Fussy and Fancy DT!!!! YEAH!! I have known since just about the beginning of December and was dying to share it with you all. My first post for them will be on January 12th. I hope you come by and wish me luck and join us!
Today I am posting my first challenge and card for the NEW YEAR! Truly Scrumptious has a fabulous and simple sketch to get you back into the swing of things. When I saw this sketch I said WHEW!! Taking a break I felt like a lost my mojo. I think its coming back slowly.

So have you made a few resolutions?? I did. One is to share the love with my stamps. I have collected some great stamps and don't use them as often as I should. This Lily of the Valley is one of them!!! I really love the colors of this card and the Graphic 45 paper!! I have more and can't wait to use!

I usually have a list of challenges I enter but like I said I have been a little out of touch. Which by the way, I had a wonderful Christmas holiday with my family and I hope you did too.
One last thing...I can't believe it but I will be celebrating my first blogaversary soon. So my first candy fun is coming soon. Stay tuned! Don't forget to join us at Truly Scrumptious! Come on over and see what the rest of the team created. I can tell you they didn't lose there mojo..lol!
